![]() ![]() In all i would buy this if you have the $ to you won't be disappointed. the back-light feature is great its a soft orange color on mine so its easy on the eyes but very visible, with some versions having the button for soft, bright, and off. The gaming feature allows you to flip a switch and it disables the windows keys so you don't accidentally hit them while in a gaming situation. This may be a "Gaming" keyboard, but i would recommend it to anyone that uses a keyboard for hours at a time very comfortable, and it has smooth keystrokes, plus the customizable keys can be used as 1 button page savers for documents and tools,and to add to it the screen has a system monitor on it so you can see when your computer is being pushed to its limit, but the screen also has other functions as well, like game presets, and game sets that you set up, as well as presets, for day to day use on your comp. It's completely awesome, customizable keys, easy to use software, and a very good feel. Great product, would recommend it to anyone not just gamers. I would definitely recommend this keyboard to gamers and tech junkies alike. The G15 has tons of features and is much more affordable than the newer G19, it works great, and gets the job done. The loss of several G-Keys (the original blue version has 18 G-keys instead of the newer, albeit more compact, 6 G-Keyed orange version.) the fact you can't change the color of the back lighting. The back lighting can also be turned off, or dimmed. The unit its self is quite sturdy and is just big enough to properly accommodate the addition of the G-keys and the LCD and it's controls. The software is very easy to use for both the key profiler and the Game Panel (LCD) Manager. ![]() The back of the unit also sports 2 USB ports, which is great for plugging in a mouse or joystick. Each (game) profile supports up to 18 macros, 6 on each "M-slot." You have the option of creating them on the fly or through the software. The programmable G-keys are great for creating macros. The orange back lit keys are a must for anyone who loves to game in the dark. And that isn't even listing the many games it supports, including more recent ones such as Battlefield: Bad Company 2. The LCD features several apps such as an Profiler displays and controls, scripting display, RSS reader, clock, CPU and RAM stats, Windows Sideshow support, FRAPS, a countdown timer, media Display for several players(iTunes, Winamp, Sonique, Realplayer, MediaLife, Windows Media Player,) Speedfan info, plus a ton of user community created apps for programs such as Foobar2000, LCDSirReal, Skype, TeamSpeak3, and much much more. this comes in especially handy while in a full screen application like a game, Photoshop, or a movie, saving you the trouble of Alt+Tabing out or minimizing/switching windows. It includes an illuminated 2 color LCD screen, 6 programmable G-keys, back lit keys, and intuitive media controls.įirst off, the most obvious thing about this keyboard is the back lit monocrome orange and black LCD screen.
